Starting October 12, the Kern County Library is launching indoor express services and expanding curbside services to 12 locations.
What will my visit to the Kern County Library look like during express service?
For the safety of our community, we have implemented multiple cleaning procedures and operating guidelines for express services. We know changes like this aren’t fun, but we appreciate your support in keeping Kern Libraries safe.
Express library visits are by appointment only and limited to 30-minute sessions.
It’s best to plan ahead! All library visits require a purpose-driven appointment. Call 661.868.0701 or email email@example.com to book your appointment. You can also request an appointment online.
Take care of yourself. Stay home if you are feeling sick or have a sick family member. It’s easiest and keeps everyone safe. If you need to get tested, access KernCounty.com to see a list of testing sites in your area.
We’re all in this together. Face masks are required for individuals ages 2 and up to enter and remain in the building. Please keep your mask over your nose and mouth and avoid touching your face. Keep a 6-foot distance between employees and customers. Clean hands with sanitizer upon entering. Restrooms and drinking fountains are unavailable.
Prefer Curbside Services? Everyone has a different comfort level, and that’s okay! All of our select locations offer curbside services too.
Library staff follow these rules too! All library staff members are required to wear a mask, wash their hands regularly, and undergo daily temperature checks.
We care about you! We’re sanitizing high traffic areas hourly, including door handles, circulation desks, and public computers.
