How It Works
At this time, all Library scholarships have been awarded. You may still apply, but you will be placed on a waitlist and will be notified only if more scholarships become available.
Step 1: Take the online self-assessment. Once completed, you will be contacted by a Kern County Library staff member to proceed.
Step 2: Enroll in and complete a pre-requisite course in two weeks or less.
Step 3: Congratulations! A Kern County Library staff member will contact you for an interview. Successful interviewers will be notified if they have received the Library scholarship.
Who Can Enroll
This program is for adults 19 and older with a library card in good standing, that are interested in pursuing their high school diploma and live in Bakersfield, California. Participants that complete the self-assessment, the pre-requisite course, and the interview successfully will be contacted by library staff and be informed if they have received a library scholarship.
Career Online High School is made possible through a grant awarded by the California State Library.
