Donate to the Library

The Kern County Library needs your support.  Your donation supports Library collections, programs and most pressing needs such as hours of opening.  Your gifts change lives.

To make a Library Trust donation by mail, please send a completed donation form with a check payable to Kern County Library Donations (no cash please) to: Kern County Library, 701 Truxtun Ave., Bakersfield CA 93301.

You can now make your donation online with your Visa or MasterCard for one of the following types of donations:

A General Donation can be used to donate to Kern County Library or to a specific Library Branch and/or for specific needs, such as:

• Adult Fiction
• Adult Non-Fiction
• Audio Visual Materials
• Children’s Fiction
• Children’s Non-Fiction
• Large Print Materials
• Operations
• Programming
• Young Adult Materials

A Memorial or Honorarium Donation will help support the library and is a way to remember or honor someone special by making a donation in their name.  These donations can also be Library Branch and/or needs specific as described above.

General Donation

Use this option to make a donation to Kern County Library or a specific Library Branch.

1. Select the desired location from the pull down menu below.
2. Click Donate Now.
3. Enter the amount you are going to donate and click Continue.
4. Enter your Credit Card information.
5. For Customer ID enter your name. If you wish your donation to be used toward a specific need as describe above then enter that information with your name as your Customer ID.
6. Once your required information has been entered click Submit.
7. Print of copy of the receipt for your records.

Memorial or Honorarium Donation

Use this option to make a donation in Memory or Honor of someone special.

1. Select the desired location from the pull down menu below.
2. Click Donate Now.
3. Enter the amount you are going to donate and click Continue.
4. Enter your Credit Card information.
5. For Customer ID enter the Name of the Person you wish to honor.
6. Once the required information has been entered click Submit.
7. Print a copy of the receipt for your records.
8. Come back to this page and fill out the Memorial and Honorarium Form.
