To receive brief factual answers to reference questions by email, please fill out all of the form information below and press the Ask Question button. Please make your question as complete and detailed as possible, so we may provide you the answer that best meets your needs.

Your question will be answered by reference librarians at the Kern County Library and replies will be sent within two business days (Monday - Saturday). Questions about local history, obituary searches, or other research questions will have a varying response time.

Reference services outside of the San Joaquin Valley Library System are subject to fees as established by the Kern County Board of Supervisors.
