The Arkelian Children's Library contains a storytelling area, a special collection of award-winning books, and two multi-media workstations. It is located on the first floor of the library.

The staff presents a weekly preschool story hour on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. Additional programs are scheduled throughout the year, especially during the Summer Reading Program. Tours for school classes and other groups may be arranged by calling (661) 868-0750
