Beale Audio-Visual Services
The Audio-Visual Room is located in the southwest corner of the first floor of the Beale Memorial Library in Bakersfield, California. It is open the same hours as the rest of the library.
The audio-visual collection includes videocassettes; nonfiction, performances, travel videos, Shakespeare, movies, foreign, and videos for the hearing impaired. There are also compact discs, audiocassettes, books-on-tape, DVD and phonodiscs. DVDs and Videocassettes are checked out for 1 week with a $2.00 rental fee. For an additional $2.00, DVDs and Videocassettes can be renewed for one week. DVDs and Videocassettes can be renewed twice. Loan periods vary by type of material.
You may preview videocassettes, DVDs, and CDs in the Audio-Visual Room's preview carrels.
There is a $1 per hour fee to use the equipment.
